Seoul : The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) issued extreme grave heat wave warnings for Daegu and other Southeastern parts of South Korea as temperatures climbed well above 30 C. The KMA reported that the highest-level heat warnings came into effect in southwestern parts of Daegu, and the nearby cities of Gyeongsan and Cheongdo County. Damascus : Thirty-five people were killed and 30 others injured in a collision between two passenger buses on the Damascus-Deir Ezzor Road in Syria, prompting the Health and Defence ministries to mobilise emergency teams and designated hospitals to respond to the incident. The Ministry of Health said the emergency response system had been placed on maximum alert, with the injured transferred to hospitals in Homs and Deir Ezzor and the necessary medical teams deployed.
