Manama : The Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) has announced that a ban on fishing kingfish (Chan’ad) using nets in the territorial waters of the Kingdom of Bahrain will take effect from August 15 until October 15, 2026. Fishing using lines will remain permitted during the two-month period, as part of ongoing efforts to conserve marine resources and ensure the sustainability of the marine environment. Manama : The Chief of the Enforcement of Criminal  Judgments Prosecution said the Public Prosecution’s role extends beyond the issuance of judgments in criminal cases to ensuring the enforcement of final judgments, including custodial sentences, fines, restitution and confiscation of funds, in accordance with the law. Manama : The High Criminal Court today issued rulings in three separate cases involving individuals who supported and endorsed Iranian terrorist attacks against the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as obtaining and disseminating prohibited information and photographing locations where photography is prohibited. The court sentenced three defendants to prison terms of up to 10 years, fined some of them up to BD5,000, and ordered the confiscation of the seized items, the Deputy Chief Prosecutor for Terrorism Crimes said.
