Kabul : Severe flooding caused by thunderstorms in parts of Afghanistan has left 17 people dead and 26 injured, causing widespread damage to property and infrastructure. The number of casualties could increase as crews from the country’s National Disaster Management Authority continue to survey the affected areas and assess the damage, the authority’s spokesman Yousuf Hammad said in a statement. Kuwait : The Ministry of Interior of the State of Kuwait announced that explosive ordnance disposal teams dealt with 11 reports of falling debris resulting from defensive interception operations over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of reports since the start of the Iranian aggression on the country to 599. Manama :  The Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) has announced lifting a fishing ban on spangled Emperor (Shaari), rabbitfish (Safi) and seabream (Andag), from April 1 to May 31, according to Edict (2) of 2024. The Council noted that the measure forms part of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to preserve marine resources, promote environmental sustainability, rehabilitate ecosystems, and increase both the quantity, and diversity of marine life available in local markets.
