Manama : Al Hilal Healthcare Group celebrated Bahraini Doctor’s Day by honouring its Bahraini medical professionals and recognising their dedication, expertise and continued contributions to delivering quality healthcare across Bahrain.
With more than 50 Bahraini doctors within its own medical team, Al Hilal Healthcare Group
takes pride in the knowledge, experience and commitment of its medical professionals, who
serve patients across various specialities throughout its 11-branch network.

The celebration was held at the Celebration Hall of Al Hilal Healthcare Group’s Muharraq
Branch, bringing together Bahraini doctors from all 11 branches. The event was attended by Dr.
Sharath Chandran, Chief Executive Officer of Al Hilal Healthcare Group, and Mr. Asif
Mohammed, Vice President – Business & Strategy.

Among the doctors recognised during the celebration were Dr. Amer Al Derazi, Consultant
General Surgery (Bariatric Surgery) and Group Head of Medical Services; Dr. Mohammed Al
Alawi, Consultant Urologist; Dr. Huda Al Ansari, Consultant Paediatrician; Dr. Nabeel Mohamed
Mohamed Bastawicy, Consultant Emergency Medicine; and Dr. Bushra Alsharaf, Consultant
Family Medicine and Medical Director of Al Hilal Salmabad Branch, alongside other Bahraini
doctors representing the group’s wider medical network.

The celebration featured activities dedicated to recognising the doctors’ contributions, along
with symbolic commemorative gifts presented as a token of appreciation. A special patient
appreciation initiative was also organised across all branches, allowing patients to share
messages of gratitude with their doctors through QR codes. Each doctor received a
personalised envelope containing messages from their patients and had the opportunity to
read their heartfelt words during the celebration.
Dr. Sharath Chandran, Chief Executive Officer of Al Hilal Healthcare Group, said: “Bahraini
Doctor’s Day is our chance to thank the doctors who are the heart of Al Hilal. Watching them
read the messages their patients wrote was the most moving part of the evening. It reminded
us that our community’s trust is earned by our doctors, one patient at a time. We are truly
proud of every one of them.”
Mr. Asif Mohammed, Vice President – Business & Strategy, said: “Our growth as a group has
always been built on our people, and Bahraini doctors are at the centre of it. We will keep
investing in their development, from training to leadership roles. That way, the best Bahraini
medical talent will keep finding a home at Al Hilal and serving patients across the Kingdom.”
Dr. Amer Al Derazi, Consultant General Surgery (Bariatric Surgery) and Group Head of Medical
Services, said: “It is a privilege to work alongside such dedicated colleagues, from senior
consultants to young doctors at the start of their careers. Their commitment is what allows Al
Hilal to meet international and national accreditation standards every day. Our responsibility
now is to mentor the next generation so Bahraini medicine keeps growing stronger.”
With more than 50 Bahraini doctors serving across its 11-branch network, Al Hilal Healthcare
Group remains committed to recognising and supporting its medical professionals. Their
expertise, dedication and contributions continue to strengthen the group’s healthcare services
and support its ongoing growth and development across Bahrain.
