Beijing : The three astronauts aboard China’s Shenzhou-23 spacecraft entered the Tiangong space station, where they met the crew of the Shenzhou-21 mission, marking the start of a new round of in-orbit handover operations between the two crews as part of China’s manned space programme. Brussels : Four people were killed, including two children, after a school minibus and a train collided in the Belgian town of Buggenhout. Local authorities said the accident occurred at a level crossing near Buggenhout, around 30 kilometres north-west of Brussels, adding that details were not immediately clear. They said five other children in the minibus were seriously injured and taken to hospital, but their condition is stable. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a royal decree pardoning 226 inmates on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. The royal pardon includes individuals convicted in various offences who have served part of their sentences, in addition to a number of individuals under alternative sentencing. The pardon reflects His Majesty the King’s commitment to provide those pardoned with the opportunity to reintegrate into society and contribute to Bahrain’s comprehensive development process under the leadership of HM the King.
