Manama : Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, inspected the launch of the first assessment tests for students applying to the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme in government schools. Around 3,000 students from the first intermediate grade across all government intermediate schools in the Kingdom of Bahrain are participating in the assessments. New York : A United Nations official has warned of the possibility of a widespread humanitarian crisis if an urgent solution is not found to ensure the continued flow of fertilisers and related raw materials through the Strait of Hormuz, as the planting season begins in different parts of the world.
