Doha : The Ministry of Interior announced that search and rescue operations following the helicopter crash in the State’s territorial waters have resulted in the recovery of six of the seven individuals on board. The ministry confirmed that all six have been found deceased, while specialised teams continue intensive efforts to locate the remaining missing person. In a statement posted on the X platform on Sunday, the ministry expressed its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of the deceased, praying to Almighty God to bestow His mercy upon them and grant their families patience and solace.

Abu Dhabi : The UAE air defences on Sunday intercepted 4 ballistic missiles and 25 UAVs launched from Iran. Since the start of the blatant Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have intercepted 345 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,773 UAVs. Manama : In a strong show of community support, the Bharathi Association, in coordination with The Indian Club, successfully arranged a Gulf Air chartered flight from Dammam to Chennai today. This initiative was undertaken jointly by both associations to assist passengers who were urgently seeking to travel to their homeland for various reasons, following the temporary closure of Bahrain Airport. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a Royal Decree granting a special pardon and release to 300 inmates for Eid Al Fitr. The pardon includes individuals convicted in various cases who have served a portion of their sentences, as well as those subject to the alternative sentencing programme.
