Manama : The Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America discussed strengthening military coordination and defence cooperation during the 21st meeting of the Bahrain-US Joint Military Committee, held at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, chaired the Bahraini side, while Michael P. DiMino IV, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Near East and Central Asia, chaired the US side.
The two sides discussed items on the committee’s agenda aimed at further strengthening military coordination and defence cooperation between the two countries. They also reviewed Bahrain-US relations and means to further develop cooperation, particularly in the military domain.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides signed the minutes of the 21st Bahrain-US Joint Military Committee meeting.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Adviser for Financial and Technical Affairs at the BDF General Command; Stephanie L. Hallett, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain; and senior BDF officers.
