New Delhi : At least 14 people, most of them students, were killed in a major fire that broke out on Monday at a training centre in the Aliganj area of Lucknow city in Uttar Pradesh state, India. Manila : The Philippine weather agency said on Sunday that severe tropical storm Francisco is expected to intensify into a typhoon later in the day, although it is unlikely to make a direct landfall in the country. Manama : The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments has developed the automated cheque collection service by establishing a direct electronic link between the Ministry’s internal accounting system and the approved bank system. This allows payers to go to any branch of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) in the Kingdom of Bahrain to deposit cheques without the need to visit the Ministry. London : Multiple passengers sustained injuries of varying severity, including serious cases, after two passenger trains collided in Bedfordshire, north of London, prompting a large-scale response from British emergency and rescue services.
