Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (54) of 2026, amending Article (1) of Decree (5) of 1973 concerning official holidays, based on a proposal by the Prime Minister and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Under the decree, June 1 is designated as an official holiday to mark the Day of Pledge and Loyalty, with the occasion added to the list of official holidays.
The decree stipulates that the Prime Minister and ministers, each within their respective capacities, shall implement its provisions. It shall take effect on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
