Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Order (14) of 2026 proroguing the fourth session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives. The Order stipulates that the fourth session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives shall be prorogued as of Tuesday, 25 Dhu Al Qa’dah 1447 AH, corresponding to May 12, 2026. Manama : The Ministry of Interior said investigations into espionage cases involving foreign entities, as well as incidents of support for the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom, found that those arrested had close links to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the ideology of Wilayat al Faqih. Manama : The Head of the Terror Crimes Prosecution stated that the Lower Criminal Court, in its session held today, issued two rulings in separate cases involving the filming and photographing vital facilities. The defendants were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from one to five years, with one defendant also fined BD100 and seized items confiscated. The first case involved monitoring by the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate of a social media account that published video footage of vital facilities, leading to the arrest of the suspect. Berlin : Two people were killed and three others were seriously injured on Monday when a car drove into a central pedestrian zone of the eastern German city of Leipzig, Mayor Burkhard Jung said, the latest in a spate of such incidents in recent years in Germany.
