Seoul : Samsung Electronics Co. said Thursday its technology conference will take place online for the first time next month amid the pandemic. The South Korean tech giant said it decided to hold the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) on Oct. 26. The event was canceled last year due to COVID-19 concerns. The SDC, which started in 2013, is an annual event that brings thousands of developers, content creators and designers to discuss future technologies and services. Abu Dhabi : HH Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will start an official visit to the United Kingdom, on Thursday. UAE news agency WAM reported that Shaikh Mohamed and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will discuss “the prospects of consolidating strategic cooperation between the two friendly nations in addition to reviewing issues of shared interest and the latest developments in the Middle East region.”

U.S. Marine Major Ben Sutphen was just 15 feet away when a suicide bomber detonated a bomb last month near an entrance to the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. Sydney : A curfew imposed on more than two million people in the 12 Sydney suburbs hardest hit by the spread of the coronavirus Delta variant will end on Wednesday night, authorities said, stopping short of easing more lockdown restrictions. Bahrain : Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani received U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Margaret Nardi and reviewed with her the deep relations between Bahrain and the US as well as matters of shared interest.
