Baku : Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, Head of the Bahrain Parliamentary Division delegation participating in the 20th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States, chaired the Arab Group consultative meeting held on the sidelines of the conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom highlighted the importance of enhancing coordination and consultation among Arab parliaments to unify positions on issues on the union’s agenda and strengthen Arab representation across its bodies and committees.

During the meeting, Bahrain secured membership of the Committee on Cultural and Legal Affairs and Dialogue of Civilisations and Religions. Participants also discussed the election of the President of the 21st Conference of the Union and its host country, as well as the nomination of four representatives of the Arab Group to the Union’s Executive Committee and arrangements for the committee’s next meeting.
