Jeddah: The Secretariat General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has expressed its strong condemnation of the pirating and hijacking of Houthi militia of a civil Emirati-flagged ship laden with equipment for the Saudi field hospital. In a statement posted by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), OIC considered this attack a criminal act that hinders the freedom of maritime and commercial navigation that is guaranteed by the international laws and covenants, adding that this act obstructs dispatching humanitarian and relief assistance to the brotherly Yemeni people. The Secretariat General also called for the immediate release of the ship.
