Manama : Hundreds of members of the Tamil community in Bahrain, along with Bahraini nationals and well-wishers, gathered at the premises of Bharathi Association Bahrain on Friday, 12 June 2026, to express their heartfelt loyalty, solidarity, and continued support to the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The gathering was organized as a mark of respect and appreciation towards His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the wise leadership of Bahrain. Community members participated in signing a special loyalty pledge document reaffirming their commitment to the Kingdom’s values of peace, security, tolerance, coexistence, and national unity.
The pledge conveyed the deep gratitude of the Tamil community towards Bahrain, which has long been considered their second home. Members expressed their appreciation for the peaceful environment, stability, opportunities, and hospitality extended to expatriate communities living in the Kingdom.
In the pledge addressed to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Bharathi Association Bahrain stated:
“We respectfully extend our highest regards, profound respect, and unwavering loyalty to Your Majesty, the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the esteemed Royal Family.”
The statement further highlighted Bahrain’s position as a nation of tolerance and harmony, expressing the community’s support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security, stability, and national interests.
Members also expressed their confidence in the leadership of His Majesty the King and appreciated the continuous efforts of the Government of Bahrain, security forces, and all national institutions in maintaining peace, safety, and prosperity for the people and residents of Bahrain.
Speaking on behalf of Bharathi Association Bahrain, the Executive Committee emphasized that the Tamil community remains committed to being responsible, law-abiding residents who contribute positively to the development and progress of the Kingdom.
The event reflected the strong bond of friendship, respect, and mutual understanding between the Tamil community and the people of Bahrain. The presence of Bahraini nationals alongside community members further demonstrated the spirit of unity and coexistence that represents the social fabric of the Kingdom.
The loyalty pledge concluded with prayers for the continued health, wisdom, and strength of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and wishes for lasting peace, security, and prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
