Rabat Foreign currency tourism revenues in Morocco rose by 7% in 2024, compared to 2023, reaching an unprecedented level of MAD 112 billion in 2024, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
“With an exceptional year marked by 17.4 million tourist arrivals, Morocco has reached a new milestone,” the ministry said in a press release, noting that this level also marks a remarkable 43% increase compared to 2019.rces
The ministry also highlighted that this momentum was particularly evident in December 2024, with revenues reaching nearly MAD 8 billion, an increase of 11% compared to the same period in 2023.
This record revenue not only reflects the Kingdom’s growing attractiveness but also its ability to appeal to a diverse and demanding clientele, as evidenced by a significant 20% increase in tourist arrivals in 2024, according to the same sources.
