Manama : Jameel bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour, met with Nawaf Al Jishi, Chairman of the Bahrain Society of the Private Training Institutes.
The meeting discussed cooperation to promote private training institutions, and to provide legislative and administrative needs and technical support so that they can provide high-quality training programmes that meet the needs of the labour market in the kingdom.
The minister affirmed Bahrain’s keenness on strengthening the training sector as it is crucial to achieve sustainable development of human resources.
Humaidan commended the role of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) in developing the skills of citizens working in the private sector.
He said that Tamkeen, through the directives of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), launched a package of new programmers that is the largest since the founding of Tamkeen.
The minister noted that Tamkeen’s programmes aimed at supporting 50,000 Bahrainis annually, which contributes to employing Bahrainis and enhancing their careers.
He emphasised the Society’s efforts to develop the training sector, affirming the importance of integrating all efforts within the training system to make Bahrain a regional center for human resources training.
Al Jishi highlighted the cooperation between the ministry and the Society, affirming the importance of continuing to make efforts to support the growth of this sector in a way that highlights Bahrain’s position as an attractive environment for training human resources.
