His Majesty, along with the attendees, listened to the Eid sermon delivered by Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a Royal Decree granting a special pardon and release to 300 inmates for Eid Al Fitr. The pardon includes individuals convicted in various cases who have served a portion of their sentences, as well as those subject to the alternative sentencing programme. The royal pardon follows the established practice of His Majesty on such occasions, providing those included with an opportunity to reintegrate into society and contribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s comprehensive development under the leadership of His Majesty the King.

Jeddah : The Royal Court of Saudi Arabia announced that the Supreme Court has decided that Thursday, March 19, is the final day of Ramadhan, and that Friday, March 20, is the first day of Eid Al Fitr 1447 AH. Manama : A temporary mechanism for logistical transit has been launched by the Executive Council of the GCC Customs Union Authority to address the repercussions of the Iranian aggression targeting GCC countries, the President of Customs said. Manama : Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the addition of Paris and Manila to its temporary commercial network operated via King Fahd International Airport, until March 28, bringing the total number of destinations to 10 international destinations. The airline stated that the current destinations within its temporary network also include London Heathrow, Mumbai, Bangkok, Frankfurt, Nairobi, Cairo, Casablanca and Chennai. Doha : The State of Qatar announced that Ras Laffan Industrial City was targeted by missile attacks that caused significant material damage, noting that emergency response teams intervened immediately to contain fires resulting from the attack, with no fatalities reported. QatarEnergy said in a statement that emergency teams began operations immediately following the attack to control the situation and limit the impact of fires at the industrial facility, adding that efforts are ongoing to assess the extent of material damage resulting from the targeting of one of the country’s vital centres.

Manama : This week’s BD 100 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been fully subscribed by 100%. The bills, carrying a maturity of 12 months, are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date of the bills is March 19, and the maturity date is March 18, 2027. The weighted average rate of interest is 5.04% compared to 4.62% of the previous issue on February 19.
