Manama : The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP), in collaboration with the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program Alumni Association (CPISPAA), hosted a virtual mentoring and guidance event as part of the CPISPAA’s 8th Annual Mentoring Program, to support candidates from the 28th cohort shortlisted for the 2027 scholarship cycle as they prepare for their academic and professional journeys.
The event is designed to prepare CPISP candidates for the next stage of their academic and professional journeys. Candidates received guidance on developing university application strategies, preparing for their final year of secondary school, and selecting university majors and career paths aligned with their aspirations.
The day began with information sessions on applying to universities abroad, as well as the importance of having alternative university and scholarship options. This was followed by five interactive sessions covering topics such as standardised test preparation, writing strong university application essays, and life after school and university.
All students were also given the opportunity to meet one-on-one with mentors to get personalised advice about their specific university and career plans.
The event continued with a majors and careers fair, where mentors introduced candidates to the specifics of their respective majors and career paths. Sessions were held for various sectors, including computer science, medicine, engineering, business, and humanities.
Over the past seven years, the CPISPAA has provided more than 2,000 one-on-one advisory meetings through the Mentoring Program, in addition to other tailored initiatives to support Bahraini youth.
Through its initiatives, CPISPAA has supported students across various universities and schools in making informed career choices and utilizing available opportunities and resources.
By providing consistent guidance and support, the CPISPAA continues its contribution to the development of Bahrain’s academic and professional landscape.
The CPISPAA was founded in 2019 to connect alumni of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program and to engage them in professional, academic, and social activities.
Nearly 100 students and academic specialists attended the event.
