Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ratified and issued Law (17) of 2026 amending certain provisions of the Reform and Rehabilitation Institution Law issued by Law (18) of 2014, following approval by the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives. The amendments replace references to inmate employment and work in the law with rehabilitation and training. The Prime Minister and the ministers, each within their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this law, which shall come into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.

Denver : A person who jumped a fence and was on a runway at Denver International Airport was struck and killed by a Frontier Airlines plane during takeoff, airport authorities said.
