Manama : Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) confirmed that its facility was subject to an Iranian attack on Saturday March 28, 2026. A statement issued by Alba said: “The safety and security of Alba’s people remain its top priority and the Company confirms that two of Alba’s employees sustained minor injuries.” Alba is assessing the extent of the damage to its facilities and remains focused on maintaining its operational resilience and the safety of its employees. The Company will provide further updates, as required, in due course.
Manama : Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, chaired the regular meeting of the Water Resources Council. The Council reviewed the progress made in implementing the National Water Strategy (2021 – 2030), which reflected the effectiveness of the efforts exerted in this vital sector. The overall completion rate for the strategy’s indicators, projects, and initiatives reached 81%. Manama : In the interest of safeguarding seafarers amid the blatant Iranian aggression against the Kingdom of Bahrain, using missiles and drones, and the serious risks this poses to the safety of citizens and residents, the Interior Ministry announced a ban on maritime movement for seafarers using fishing and leisure vessels, as part of the measures taken to protect Bahrain’s coasts. The ban will be in effect from 06:00 PM (18:00) until 04:00 AM (04:00), starting today and until further notice. Manama : The National Communication Centre confirmed that, according to the latest updates from the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force, 20 missiles and 23 drones were intercepted and destroyed within the last 24 hours. Abu Dhabi : Concerned authorities in Abu Dhabi confirmed that the previously reported incident in the vicinity of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), caused by falling debris following the successful interception of a ballistic missile by air defence systems, resulted in the outbreak of a third fire. Authorities also confirmed an additional injury to a Pakistani national, bringing the total number of injured individuals to six, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Manama : Kuwait’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation announced that Kuwait International Airport was targeted by drone attacks, resulting in no casualties but causing material damage.
