Washington : Industrial production in the United States recorded a modest increase in May, supported by improved performance in the mining sector, according to a report issued by the US Federal Reserve. The report showed that industrial output rose by 0.1% in May, compared with a revised increase of 0.9% in April. The increase was below analysts’ expectations of 0.2%. The growth was driven by a 1.3% increase in mining output during May, following a 0.2% rise in the previous month. Manama : The University of Bahrain has launched a new digital service that enables students to cancel academic transfer requests and remain in their current academic programmes through the Student Information System (SIS). The service allows students to cancel transfer requests after decisions have been issued, including transfers between colleges, between programmes within the same college, and from associate diploma or associate degree programmes to bachelor’s degree programmes. Under the enhanced service, processing time has been reduced from two working days to an immediate automated procedure through the SIS following verification via a one-time password (OTP). Manama : The General Headquarters of Bahrain Defence Force announced it will conduct a shooting drill in the Northern Naval Area located south of (Hair Shtaya) 15 nautical miles from Bahrain International Airport on Wednesday and Thursday 17th and 18th of June 2026 from 3am to 7am with a safety height of 10 thousand feet. Manama : The Coast Guard announced a change to the work area of the three-dimensional marine survey project being carried out by Bapco Energies in the territorial waters of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Manama, The Head of the Terrorism Crimes Prosecution announced that the High Criminal Court, at its session today, Monday, issued rulings in 11 separate cases involving offences committed by several individuals, including supporting and endorsing Iran’s terrorist attacks against the Kingdom of Bahrain, obtaining and disseminating prohibited sensitive data, capturing images of restricted sites, and spreading false news and rumours through social media platforms during the Iranian aggression against the Kingdom.
