Manama :Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, received Arthur Mattli, Ambassador of Switzerland to the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain, during his participation in FinTech Forward 2026, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain with the participation of officials, experts and specialists in fintech and financial services.
The meeting was attended by Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB).
The Minister of Finance emphasised the importance of continuing to strengthen relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Swiss Confederation and expanding cooperation across various domains, particularly the financial, economic and investment sectors, as well as exchanging experiences and expertise in support of the two countries’ shared aspirations.
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted Bahrain’s strengths in supporting the growth of the fintech sector and the continued development of its digital financial and banking ecosystem, contributing to consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a regional financial centre that attracts high-quality investment.
