Manama : The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Bahrain, in cooperation with the Korea-Arab Society, organised the 19th Korea-Arab Friendship Caravan at City Centre Bahrain to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bahrain and South Korea.
The event was attended by a number of ambassadors and diplomats and featured performances by Bahraini and Korean groups, drawing a large audience.
Choi Byoung-sun, South Korean Ambassador to Bahrain, told the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that the embassy had planned a series of events throughout the month to mark the anniversary, highlight five decades of bilateral relations and strengthen friendship and cultural exchange between the two countries. He expressed his hope for further developing these ties in the years ahead.
The programme featured dynamic performances blending K-pop, hip-hop and breakdancing, with Bahrain’s Red Ants performing alongside award-winning Korean groups K-NOVA and Expression Crew. The event concluded with a joint Bahraini-Korean performance celebrating artistic partnership and cultural exchange.
The event forms part of cultural initiatives highlighting the development of Bahrain-South Korea relations over the past 50 years and the role of artistic and cultural exchange in bringing the two peoples closer and expanding opportunities for cooperation.
