Hong Kong : At least four people have died and 17 remain missing after torrential rain triggered landslides in China’s southwestern Guizhou province on Thursday, with the military deployed to assist in rescue efforts. Two died in Changshi township and two from nearby Qingyang village, where 19 people from eight different households were initially trapped after being hit by a landslide, state broadcaster CCTV reported on Thursday. Geneva : A United Nations spokesperson announced that 90 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid were delivered to various areas inside the Gaza Strip, as part of ongoing efforts to support the population amid the humanitarian crisis. The aid included flour, food supplies, medicine, and other medical and relief items. The trucks entered through the Karam Abu Salem and Rafah crossings under the supervision of UN agencies. Sydney : Heavy rain triggered flash floods in southeast Australia, cutting off entire towns and forcing some residents onto rooftops, as authorities issued evacuation orders with river levels surpassing danger thresholds. Abu Dhabi : ADNOC and Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) have entered a five-year supply agreement for up to 1.5 million tonnes of calcined petroleum coke (petcoke), a vital raw material in aluminium production.
