Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, were congratulated by Shaikh Ibrahim bin Salman Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Bahrain Fencing Association and the Arab Fencing Association, on Bahrain’s election to the presidency of the Arab Fencing Association for the first time since its establishment.
Shaikh Ibrahim bin Salman stated that this achievement reflects the trust placed by the association’s general assembly in Bahrain and highlights the Kingdom’s leadership in organisation and strategic planning within the sport of fencing.
He attributed this milestone to the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC). Their efforts have advanced sports in Bahrain, including fencing, which has seen significant regional and international successes in recent years.
Shaikh Ibrahim bin Salman praised the HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Gold Generation Initiative for its contributions to identifying and nurturing promising fencing talent.
