Rome : One person died and three others were injured in a helicopter crash near Lake Maggiore in northern Italy.
Initial reports indicated that the helicopter took off from a villa on the Italian side of the lake before experiencing technical problems shortly after departure.
Local media reported that the victim was 60 years old. Two of the injured were airlifted to hospital for treatment, while no further details were released regarding the identities of those on board.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances and cause of the crash.
