Manama : Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Communication Centre (NCC), said the national media has evolved beyond its traditional role to become an active partner in advancing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The remarks were made during a dialogue session organised by the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) for participants in the Executive Programme in Government Communication, attended by Ahmed Khalid Al Araifi, Chief Executive of the National Communication Centre.
Dr. Al Noaimi said Bahrain has succeeded in building an integrated government communication system that enhances public awareness, strengthens trust and highlights national achievements in line with the Kingdom’s priorities and future aspirations. He added that the system is founded on investing in national talent, embracing innovation across all areas, and leveraging modern technologies to advance media work.

He noted that the media sector has become a key contributor to the Kingdom’s development efforts and to strengthening Bahrain’s regional and international presence. He underlined that the success of the government communication system depends on delivering clear and credible messages that reflect achievements across various sectors and support partnerships that maximise their contribution to growth and prosperity.
Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, said the dialogue sessions provide an important platform for exchanging expertise and perspectives across different domains.

She highlighted the session’s focus on the future of media and government communication, noting that developing national capabilities in communication and media is a key pillar in supporting development and enhancing institutional performance.
Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa said the institute continues to deliver specialised programmes and initiatives aimed at preparing qualified national professionals equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to keep pace with rapid developments in the media and communication sector, supporting national efforts and contributing to the Kingdom’s development objectives.
