Manama His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minster, today received the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), HE Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi and an accompanying delegation, at Riffa Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the importance of further strengthening joint GCC efforts and cooperation to create a more prosperous future for all.
His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of building on the Council’s efforts in line with the far-reaching goals and aspirations of GCC leaders.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad welcomed the GCC Secretary-General to Bahrain, and wished him success in his endeavours.
His Royal Highness underscored the importance of increasing integration and cooperation between GCC countries to meet the aspirations of their citizens and consolidate global peace and development.
For his part, HE AlBudaiwi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, highlighting HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s ongoing support of the longstanding strategic partnership between member states of the GCC.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, also attended the meeting.
