Manama : Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, received Ambassador Michael Waltz, US Representative to the United Nations.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor, was present.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad affirmed the importance of continuing to strengthen international cooperation and intensifying joint efforts to address current challenges, to consolidate security and stability and support sustainable development at both regional and international levels. His Highness explained that the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America is an important pillar to build upon and enhance cooperation and coordination.
The two sides also reviewed the cooperation between Bahrain and the US, discussed topics of mutual interest, and exchanged views on regional and international developments. They also emphasised the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on various issues of mutual interest.
