HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad hails Saud Salman’s performance in World MMA Championship

Bahrain :  HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, hailed the exceptional performance of Bahrain national MMA team member Saud Salman in the U-18 World MMA Championship which is organised by International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) in Bulgaria.

Saud claimed the third position in the 31kg category, and HH Shaikh Khalid congratulated him on this great achievement which reflects his capabilities and potential.

“We are proud of our national team members’ participation in the U-18 World MMA Championship which confirms the right approach we have drawn for the MMA sport in the Kingdom as per the vision we have sketched to enable strong presence for the Kingdom in this sport,” HH Shaikh Khalid stated.

HH Shaikh Khalid hailed the efforts of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council under the leadership of HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa towards implementing His Highness’ vision to continue upgrading all combat games, including the MMA sport.

His Highness also praised the contributions of Bahrain MMA Federation under the presidency of Mr Mohammed Ali Qambar towards carrying out the initiatives and the programmes of the Council in order to continue making more achievements and accomplishments for Bahrain.
