Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Alastair Long, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Majesty the King reviewed the distinguished bilateral relations and various aspects of cooperation and joint work between the two countries.
His Majesty the King expressed Bahrain’s pride in its close strategic relations and longstanding historical partnership with the UK, built on many years of coordination and fruitful cooperation at all levels. His Majesty highlighted the mutual commitment to further developing these ties in a manner that serves the shared interests and objectives of both countries.
His Majesty the King also commended the ambassador’s efforts in supporting bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, wishing him continued success.
In recognition of Ambassador Long’s efforts in strengthening and advancing relations between the two countries, His Majesty awarded him the Order of Bahrain (First Class).
For his part, Ambassador Long expressed gratitude to His Majesty the King and his pride in receiving the decoration. He commended His Majesty’s role in advancing the strong partnership and longstanding friendship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom.
His Majesty the King also received Lucy Belgrave, granddaughter of Charles Belgrave.
