Manama: Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met virtually with Saudi Minister of Tourism, Ahmed bin Aqeel al-Khatib.They reviewed plans and programmes carried out by the government in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to back the Tourism sector, promote cooperation and boost bilateral tourism. Al-Zayani pointed out the main steps taken by Bahrain to develop the tourism sector which has become a pillar of economic growth in the country. The Saudi Minister of Tourism presented an invitation to Al-Zayani to attend the opening ceremony of the regional bureau and the 47th meeting of the World Tourism Organisation’s Middle East Committee which will convene in April, in Riyadh.
