Former prime minister Imran Khan was shot during a rally in the east of Pakistan on Thursday, in what his supporters called an “assassination attempt”. Mr Khan, who was leading a protest march on the capital Islamabad to demand snap elections, was shot in the leg and required surgery to remove bullet fragments from his shin. Pope Francis began a four-day trip to Bahrain on Thursday, his second official visit to the Gulf following his journey to the UAE in 2019. Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree (61) of 2022, ratifying a cooperation agreement for the exchange and protection of personal data and information for security purposes between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, concluded in Riyadh on October 5, 2022, based on the proposal of the Interior Minister and after the approval of the Cabinet. The Interior Minister shall implement the decree, which takes effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
