Manama : The International Monetary Fund (IMF) held, in cooperation with the Ministry of Sustainable Development, a workshop on “IMF Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Financing Tool” (SDG-FiT). The IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department chose Bahrain to host the first edition of the workshop at the international level. Muharraq : Gulf Air has announced that its resumption of flights to Iraq will see four weekly flights to Baghdad and daily flights to Najaf operated with its Airbus fleet. The Baghdad service will depart Bahrain on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 9:40 a.m. while the Najaf service will depart Bahrain at 10:25 a.m. Flights to both destinations will commence on June 1. Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 985 inspection campaigns and visits, during the week of 21 to 27 April 2024, which resulted in the detention of 125 violating and irregular workers, while 123 violators were deported. The inspection campaigns and visits also resulted in monitoring a number of violations related to the provisions of a number of regulating laws, especially the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that legal measures were taken regarding the observed violations. Manama : Bahrain will host the first edition of the Arab Paralympic Badminton Championship and the Bahrain Para Badminton International 2024 tournament next month, Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa, chairman of Bahrain Paralympic Committee announced.
