Abu Dhabi : His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Dr. Jafar Hassan, Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, attended the signing of an agreement to develop a railway network in Jordan and establish the UAE–Jordan Railway Company. Dhaka : United Nations’ refugee and migration agencies said that at least 250 people, including Rohingya refugees and Bangladeshi nationals, were missing after a boat capsized in the Andaman Sea recently on the way to Malaysia. Lt. Com. Sabbir Alam Suzan, Bangladesh Coast Guard spokesperson said that on Wednesday nine people, including three Rohingya and six Bangladeshis, were rescued on April 9. Sydney : Cyclone Maila has triggered severe flooding and landslides in Papua New Guinea, killing at least 11 people. Entire villages were destroyed in the storm, which hit coastal areas with full force.
