Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 1,596 inspection campaigns and visits, from February 1 – 7, which resulted in the detention of 18 violating and irregular workers, while 93 violators were deported. The inspection campaigns and visits also resulted in monitoring several violations related to the provisions of a number of regulating laws, especially the LMRA and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that legal measures were taken regarding the observed violations. Tripoli : At least six people were killed, and seven others were injured when two adjoining buildings collapsed in the Lebanese city of Tripoli on Sunday, with more trapped under the rubble. Earlier, the head of Lebanon’s civil defence rescue service said the collapsed buildings had 22 residents. Rescue workers and residents had so far recovered three people alive from under the rubble.
