Manama : As part of government efforts to improve and restructure government services, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce developed its branch addition, activity addition and activity change services for commercial registrations through the Sijilat commercial licensing system.
The digital services aim to streamline procedures and enable faster completion of transactions by reducing the number of required steps.
The development covered services for managing branches and activities under commercial registrations, allowing users to add branches and commercial activities or change existing activities. Procedures were restructured and simplified to reduce application steps and accelerate transactions.
Under the upgraded services, the application process for adding a branch, adding an activity and changing an activity has been reduced to four steps each, while the Ministry’s processing time remains three working days. The number of approvals required has also been reduced by 25%.
The development also included improvements to the user interface and experience, simplified procedures and standardised service information across various channels, as well as the migration of services from Sijilat 3.0 to Sijilat 4.0.
