Moscow : Scientists from the National Center for Physics and Mathematics (NCPM) in the Russian Federation are working on developing a prototype of a computer that operates at the speed of light. Alexander Sergeyev, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, explained that the system combines electronics and photonics for ultra-fast data processing, using artificial intelligence methods based on optical artificial neural networks. The 2024 Atlantic hurricane season comes to a close Saturday, bringing to an end a season that saw 11 hurricanes compared to the average seven, and death and destruction hundreds of miles from where storms came ashore on the U.S. Gulf Coast. Kyiv : Russia conducted a “massive” attack against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on Thursday, firing nearly 200 missiles and drones and leaving more than a million households without power, Ukrainian officials said.
