Kuwait Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basel Al Sabah on Monday announced the recovery of eight patients from the novel coronavirus, raising the country’s total recoveries to 150. The minister told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), that the patients – all Kuwaiti nationals – will be admitted to a rehabilitation ward before being discharged from hospital.

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is set to start using blood plasma from recovered coronavirus, COVID-19, patients to treat critical COVID-19 cases, following the UAE’s announcement that it will adopt this treatment method. The DHA will implement the treatment, known as convalescent plasma therapy, during the course of this week. Italy has reported 431 new coronavirus-related deaths in the past 24 hours, the lowest number in more than three weeks, as experts express hope that the country’s strict lockdown is working.
