Manama : The Ministry of Social Development has announced the opening of nominations for the 17th local and eighth Arab editions of the “Her Royal Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Productive Families”, whose winners will be announced in February of 2024, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW).
Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor, the Social Development Minister, said that the award, named after the wife of HM the King and the President of the Supreme Council for Women, is gaining importance in Arab countries thanks to its support and care for productive families noting that the award motivates individuals and families to enhance economic and social life through creative competition, improving the quality of family products and encouraging innovation in manufacturing and marketing.
The Minister of Social Development highlighted the success of pioneering productive families in their developmental work and ability to move from receiving care to participating in the development process.
He emphasised the need for ongoing initiatives supporting these families, stimulating innovation, and preparing for competition in an attractive investment climate.
On the occasion, the Ministry of Social Development called on the Bahraini productive families to apply for the award by registering in the electronic form on its website (www.social.gov.bh) from January 8 to February 16.
Participating products shall be submitted in person at the Mubarak Kanoo Social Centre, in Sanabis, during official working hours. As for food products, only participation forms will be received and the date for receiving samples of the food products will be set later through direct communication with the participants in February 2024.
The best supporter for productive families is determined by the type of care provided, duration, continuity, and methods used to improve the project.
This year, three winners will be awarded: the best productive family, the best producer, and the best sponsor and supporter of productive families distributed to winners from Arab countries.
The award winners’ celebration will feature a three-day exhibition aimed at showcasing distinctive products, motivating home business owners, developing creative skills, and providing opportunities for individuals and families to invest in their capabilities, expand, and double profits, thereby improving their economic situation.
