Manama : In line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) approved the cash rewards of the Nasser bin Hamad Football Premier League for the 2023-2024 season.
League champions will receive BD 75,000, and runners-up BD 50,000, while the third-paced team will get BD 30,000.
Those placed fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth will receive BD 20,000, BD 18,000, BD 16,000, BD 14,000, BD 12,000, BD 10,00 and BD 8,000, respectively.
Meanwhile, the two relegated teams, placed 11th and 12th, will get BD 6,000 each.
On the occasion, Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, BFA Board of Directors Chairman, affirmed that HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad’s directives are consistent with the visions and strategies of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.
The directives also reflect HH Shaikh Khalid’s constant interest in supporting sports federations.
He asserted that the increase of the Nasser bin Hamad Football Premier League cash rewards for the second straight year, based on HH Shaikh Khalid’s directives, is a milestone in the history of Bahraini sport, noting that the move aims to develop the League’s technical and competition levels, which will reflect positively on the national teams and clubs.
BFA President expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad for his directives aimed at increasing the achievements and performance of Bahraini sports.
He pledged to continue developing Bahraini sports, in line with the visions of HH Shaikh Nasser and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad.
