Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (42) of 2026, reconstituting the Strategic and Spectrum Coordination Committee, based on a proposal by the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Article (I)
The Strategic and Spectrum Coordination Committee shall be reconstituted, chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), with the membership of:
1. Assistant Undersecretary for Communications at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications as Deputy Chairman.
2. Assistant Undersecretary for Maritime Navigation Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications.
3. Assistant Undersecretary for Air Navigation and Meteorological Services at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications.
4. Director of the Radio Frequency Spectrum Department at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
5. Director of the Technology and Network Security Department at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
6. A representative of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
7. A representative of the Ministry of Interior.
8. A representative of the National Guard.
9. A representative of the National Intelligence Agency.
10. A representative of the Ministry of Information.
11. A representative of the Bahrain Space Agency.
Each of the entities listed in items 6 to 11 shall designate its representative to serve on the committee, provided that the representative’s level of representation is no lower than Director of Department or equivalent.
Article (II)
The relevant authorities shall implement the provisions of this edict, which shall take effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
