Paris : The Bahrain Space Agency (BSA) participated in a ceremony marking three declarations issued by the first International Space Summit in Paris, which brought together representatives from more than 90 countries and international organisations.
Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, Chief Executive Officer of BSA, said the Kingdom of Bahrain’s endorsement of the three declarations reflects its commitment to international principles governing space activities and its contribution to global space governance.
The first declaration concerns scientific space data and promotes accessibility, openness, data integrity and international cooperation.
The second declaration focuses on the peaceful, safe, stable and sustainable use of outer space, including addressing challenges such as orbital congestion and space debris.
The third supports the International Telecommunication Union’s regulatory framework for the effective and sustainable use of the radio frequency spectrum and associated satellite orbits.
Dr. Al Aseeri said Bahrain’s endorsement of the declarations reflects its commitment to a safe and sustainable future for space and continued international cooperation in the sector.
