Manama : On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, inaugurated the Bahrain International Airshow today at Sakhir Air Base.
His Royal Highness emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to advancing priority sectors that drive economic diversification, a key objective of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development led by His Majesty the King.
HRH the Deputy King acknowledged the relentless efforts of the national workforce in driving the Kingdom’s broad achievements, noting that their dedication and excellence are deeply valued by all.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad recognised Bahrain’s status as a global hub for specialised exhibitions and conferences, highlighting the measures taken to ensure their continued success, as demonstrated by the significant international participation in the event.
His Royal Highness highlighted the continued success of the Bahrain International Airshow over the past 14 years, establishing it as a key platform in the global aviation industry. In this context, His Royal Highness praised the efforts of HM the King’s Personal Representative and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad toured the exhibition, visiting the pavilions of participating countries and receiving briefings on the latest advancements in military and civil aviation technology.
His Royal Highness met with the heads of delegations from participating aviation institutions, who praised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts and facilities that contributed to the success of this important exhibition.
His Royal Highness visited the United Arab Emirates’ national pavilion and also met with the Saudi Hawks team from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. HRH commended the strong relations between Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia, and highlighted the mutual commitment of both countries to the success of various events hosted by Bahrain through their participation.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad expressed his gratitude to the ministries and government agencies involved in organising the exhibition, noting that their efforts contribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s accomplishments in hosting major international events.
A number of senior officials and distinguished guests participating in the exhibition were also in attendance at the opening.
