Manama :: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, met with members of the Manama Hub and Budaiya Hub.
Tawfiqi highlighted that the ministry has recently launched new initiatives to support various youth groups, recognising them as a key pillar in Bahrain’s youth movement. She affirmed the ministry’s commitment to fostering positive societal impact through these groups. Tawfiqi also noted that the Ministry of Youth Affairs has developed ambitious plans and programmes, in collaboration with partners and supporters, to empower young people and enhance their participation in national affairs.
She emphasised the ministry’s focus on the Global Shapers community, including Manama Hub and Budaiya Hub, considering them important platforms for promoting innovation and supporting creative ideas. She stressed the importance of integrating skills and abilities into youth programmes, while developing young leaders capable of driving future sustainability.
Tawfiqi added that the ministry will formalise the work of the Global Shapers and accelerate the establishment of a youth committee to bring them under one umbrella. This initiative will unify efforts and better prepare young people to play a central role in achieving Bahrain’s vision.
During the meeting, Tawfiqi listened to detailed presentations on the initiatives undertaken by the hubs, their impact on Bahraini youth, and their future plans for launching additional youth programmes.
Members of the Manama Hub and Budaiya Hub expressed their appreciation to Tawfiqi for her continued engagement with Bahraini youth, listening to their ideas, and supporting their initiatives. They highlighted the importance of the ministry’s support in empowering youth, enhancing their capabilities, and equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for the future.
