Manama : Skills Bahrain, an initiative under the umbrella of the Labour Fund “Tamkeen”, announced the launch of “Career World”, Bahrain’s first specialized platform dedicated to career guidance for secondary school students. The announcement was made during an event attended by ministers, senior officials and representatives from both the public and private sectors.
Designed to equip students with up-to-date labour market insights, the “Career World” platform supports informed educational and career choices that match their talents and align with the needs of Bahrain’s economic sectors. The platform is an initiative from Skills Bahrain under the umbrella of “Tamkeen”, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Higher Education Council, and is using data powered by the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA).
The launch of “Career World” platform comes in line with Skills Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to provide data-driven tools that support the labour market. It follows the launch of the Employability Skills Portal dedicated to labour market analysis and job creation.

The platform targets students, parents and career counsellors by providing reliable labour market insights to foster informed and sustainable academic and career choices. It also provides career counsellors with a comprehensive data resource to support their guidance efforts and help students align ambitions with market realities.
The platform provides comprehensive data on more than 160 professions, continuously updated to include related academic specializations, required skills and salary ranges. It equips students with a clearer, more practical view of career opportunities. In addition, the platform offers integrated content highlighting key economic sectors and the size of their workforce, along with simplified descriptions of each profession and its core responsibilities, further enabling students to understand labour market requirements and prepare from an early stage.
To enhance engagement, the platform features multimedia content, including introductory videos about professions and real-world career experience offering students a more interactive and relatable learning journey.

Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund “Tamkeen”, affirmed that the launch of the platform reflects Tamkeen’s commitment to developing national talent and enhancing their readiness for the labour market. She said, “the Career World platform is a pioneering initiative built on real labour market data, helping students and youth make more informed educational and career decisions. By linking their skills with the needs of the labour market and economic sectors, the platform contributes to building a generation that is more prepared and competitive in the workforce.”
The platform is accessible at www.careerworld.bh where students and stakeholders can discover career pathways and make use of its interactive guidance resources.
The launch of the “Career World” platform is aligned with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for 2026, which focus on areas with the highest on the economy and Bahrainis. It also reflects Tamkeen’s role in shaping career pathways through programs that connect skills with opportunities in the labour market, adopting innovative approaches to stimulate private sector growth and financing, and implementing programs that enhance the Fund’s efficiency and effectiveness by developing internal mechanisms and continuously strengthening governance.
