Works minister receives St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Cathedral delegation

Manama: Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received Metropolitan of Mumbai Diocese H.G. Geevarghese Mar Coorilos of St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Cathedral. The Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa was present. The minister affirmed that Bahrain continues its approach as a pioneering model of tolerance between peoples and religions through the cohesion and authenticity of the Bahraini society that has devoted noble principles at various levels, an approach that reflects the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He added that Bahrain has always been a model of coexistence as people of all religions, races and sects live safely and practice their rituals in freedom and peace. H.G. Geevarghese thanked the minister for facilitating the procedures followed in the expansion and construction of the St. Mary Orthodox Church, wishing the Kingdom continued growth, prosperity and security.
