Princess Haifa bint Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf Al Muqrin has presented her credentials as Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Director of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Audrey Azoulay.
During the meeting, they reviewed distinguished relationships between the two sides and the support that Saudi Arabia provides to the organization through its memberships in executive board of UNESCO and the World Heritage Committee.
Princess Haifa stressed the importance of promoting the cooperation with UNESCO in all fields for the interest of Saudi Arabia in the international organization and with the other members of UNESCO to promote peace and coexistence between different nations and cultures.
Princess Haifa holds a Master degree of Science in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) of the University of London. She has an extensive experience in social and economic fields and their applications and international work. She began her career in academic work in the Department of Economics at King Saud University( KSU), then she moved to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) as projects officer between 2009 and 2016.
Later, Princess Haifa moved to the Ministry of Economy and Planning as head of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) sector, and an assistant undersecretary for G20 affairs, in addition to serving as assistant undersecretary for Sustainable Development in the Ministry. She also holds several memberships in international, regional and local committees and councils.
