Saudi Arabia : Umrah pilgrims to Makkah were greeted by thunderstorms and flooding on Friday as Jeddah braced for heavy rain. While fully equipped emergency response teams were on stand-by for any incident, residents were warned not to leave their homes unless necessary. Paris : A shooting targeting a Kurdish cultural center in a bustling Paris neighborhood Friday left three people dead and three others wounded, authorities said. A 69-year-old suspect was wounded and arrested. Melbourne : Sitiveni Rabuka was sworn in as Fiji’s prime minister on Saturday more than two decades after the former military commander first held the office in a term lasting nearly seven years. Manama: The Ministry of Interior held a parade as part of festivities on the Kingdom’s National Days, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini State as an Arab and Muslim state, founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.
