Cairo: Bahrain is participating in the 47th Arab Labour Conference in Cairo with a delegation head by Labour and Social development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan. Topics to be reviewed by the conference include “entrepreneurship and small enterprises” with a focus on the reality of entrepreneurship and the economic and legislative structures in Arab countries to support this sector. Bahrain : The Ministry of Health has inspected 430 hair salons, beauty parlours and massage outlets since the 1st of August. Health Inspectors checked the validity of employees’ medical test certificates and clarified procedures for booking appointments via Bahrain.bh portal. The campaign is in line with Edict 15 of 2020, issued by the Minister of Health, making it mandatory for employees working at trading and industrial outlets to undergo periodic medical screening. A US doctor is urging people to stop taking the horse deworming drug Ivermectin to treat Covid-19. Patients have been needing urgent treatment at emergency units in Oklahoma hospitals after overdosing on the drug, Delta Covid variant, says. Small doses of Ivermectin are approved for use on humans, but not for Covid. Berlin : More than 61 per cent of people in Germany have now been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, tweeted on Saturday, said dpa international. Bahrain : Customs President, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today announced a new milestone of the Customs Affairs, which reduced the average waiting period for loaded trucks coming to Bahrain to 52 minutes in the first half of August, compared with 757 minutes in the previous years.
