Manama : Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call today with. Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
During the call, they reviewed the existing cooperation and partnership relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union, and discussed ways to strengthen and further develop them across various fields in a manner that serves mutual interests, in addition to exchanging views on topics and issues of common concern.
They also discussed current regional developments, the continuation of the malicious Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain and GCC countries, and the threat these attacks pose to regional security and stability. The discussion further addressed the implications of Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz on freedom of international navigation, energy security, and the global economy, while emphasizing the importance of continuing consultation and joint coordination to enhance regional and international security and stability.
