Lucknow: 15 officials from five government departments were suspended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the negligence that led to the fire tragedy in hotel in Lucknow , which claimed four lives. India : President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday nominated Gulam Ali, a Gurjar Muslim from Jammu and Kashmir, to the Rajya Sabha on the advice of the Central government. India : Indian conglomerate Tata Group is in talks with Taiwanese supplier Wistron Corp (3231.TW) to establish a joint venture to assemble Apple’s (AAPL.O) iPhones in India. The venture would be the Indian salt-to-software group’s latest push into technology manufacturing as it taps Wistron’s expertise in product development, supply chain and assembly. Cupertino, California-headquartered Apple has bet big on India since it began iPhone assembly in the country in 2017 via Wistron and later with Foxconn (2317.TW), in line with the Indian government’s push for local manufacturing.
